AAC/PSA hasn't shared who they buy the cheaper bullets from, either - so you can't look up their ballistic performance. All of the YouTube reviews for "AAC 5.56 77gr" seem to be for the SMK rounds, not the non-SMK rounds, and most of them predate the introduction of the cheaper non-SMK rounds, so it's not the fault of the content creators. But , the 77gr OTM load was very respectable considering the cost of the ammo. No wildly out of the group fliers, and 1/2 all through the "center" of the group. I will be buying more of the AAC 77gr OTM, and consider it to be a working mans 5.56 77gr OTM load... not FGMM shiny with no dents, but a tool to get the job done.

They have been gtg with the exception of a dented casing once and a while and aac/psa took care of it with a new box of ammo.

All four are being released in 300 BO and the 150gr is also being released in our 308 series which is being launched early August.Bought some AAC 77gr OTM to try out in my AR. YHM 16" upper w/ a couple thousand rounds through it (non-adjustable gas block), BCM lower with a couple hundred rounds. I used all brand new Gen 2 PMAGs. Same rifle shot M193 equivalent rounds out of older Gen 2 PMAGs last week with zero issues. Also the 75/77gr bthp/OTM like Hornady T2 and Sierra SMK are “match” ammo but they do fragment/expand out to a good range especially out of an 18” barrel. I’ve killed a lot of hogs with 77gr SMK and even from a 10.3” barrel the wounds are devastating. @guyschwartz ( added a photo ) You are going to be very surprised with the AAC 77gr OTM load… it is a bargain for what you are getting. The AAC 77gr OTM had the Same POI as the 77gr SMK , and stellar accuracy with the AAC made bullet, even from a barrel after 30ish rounds to warm it up. This was shot yesterday at 50yds… Yes, the card was shot at the narrow edge, after those warm up rounds ... I tested 7 different factory loads in zero wind, one of them was the AAC 77gr OTM, another was the AAC 77gr Sierra SMK. Averaging multiple groups per load, the "in-house" 77gr OTM was 1.317", the 77gr Sierra was 0.646". I also shot AAC 77gr TMK, which averaged 0.740". The different Hornady loads tested in the middle. The two best groups I was able to produce out of the rifle were shot with the AAC 77grain OTM, and my 55gr Nosler handloads. I’d give a slight advantage to my handloads which netted me a 1.03″ group at 50 yards (roughly 2 MOA), while the factory AAC 77gr OTM ammunition worked out to a 1.27″ group at the same distance (roughly 2.5 MOA).
