dares has 3 loot pool rotations. each loot pool has 1 or 2 sets of armor. so, yeah it definitely drops armor, but i havent noticed any guarantee of high stat armor. off the top of my head i did get an anti-extinction helm with a total roll of 65 from a run at one point, but its definitely not a common or consistent source for high stat armor. and i reset my dares rep multiple times last season ...

If you dawnblade over to the 2nd encounter and start it before activating the respawning restricted zone, it spawns the first encounter race at the 2nd encounter.
