Like alexf said, there are job advancement coins that allow you to change your job within your class group such as Bowmaster to Crossbowmen, Bishop to Ice Lightning Mage, Buccaneer to Corisair, etc. There hasn't , however, ever been a time where we've been able to intentionally jump from one kind of class to ...You can't. Also, explorers can only change after level 100 and 4th job advancement. So even for an explorer, if you decide you don't like it at 56, I'd recommend just starting over with a new character. (Although a great many classes are painful to play at first, and get much more fun in 3rd or 4th job.
