Depending on the severity of the injury it can take very long to heal. Get a suture needle to sew the wound together. It'll give you some pain until the wound is healed, but no more need to change bandages. Sleep as much as possible and try to keep well-fed status for as long as possible. Use poultices.

First days will be painful, so you should have sleeping pills and/or painkillers to fall asleep.
